Deadline Day

The winter transfer deadline passes at 11pm on Monday 3rd February.

Everton have finally made a move to bolster the ranks of David Moyes's squad with the imminent acquisition of Carlos Alaraz from Flamengo in a loan deal until the end of the season but a deal that was thought to have been hammered out long before deadline day even dawned has ended up stretching beyond 11pm.

Negotiations with the Brazilian club were reportedly still ongoing right up to the deadline and it required the submission to the Premier League of a deal sheet to afford both parties extra time to finalise the terms of the transfer.

Harrison Armstrong has joined Derby County on loan until the end of the season after signing a long-term contract with Everton that keeps him at the Club until 2028.

U21s defender Bradley Moonan, meanwhile, joins Prescot Cables on loan until the summer.

The Liverpool Echo report that no further deals are expected before the deadline even as speculation ramped up on the less reputable transfer gossip sites that West Brom had agreed to sell Tom Fellows to the Blues for £10m.

According to Miguel Delaney of The Independent, that deal may have to wait until the summer as the Baggies have knocked back a £15m offer for Fellows.
