Moise Kean collapses following on-pitch collision

The Liverpool Echo report that the former Everton striker had to be stretchered off the field during Fiorentina's game with Hellas Verona after being kneed in the head by an opponent.

He initially tried to play on after receiving treatment for a laceration above his eye but then collapsed.

A statement by the Italian club read: "Fiorentina announces that the footballer Moise Kean, during the match against Verona, suffered a head trauma. The footballer is in hospital for tests."

A horrible collision to watch and to be honest Moise should have been taken off straight away. No messing around with the potential trouble from something lke this. I wish Moise all the very best for a full and quick recovery. I've been made up to see him doing so well.

Corriere Dello Sport reports that Kean suffered no serious injury and will likely be back on the pitch in a week or two.
