David Moyes says that the two players who were battling flu-like symptoms on Saturday, Jesper Lindstrøm and Tim Iroegbunam, are now fine and will be in contention for a place in the team to face Brentford on Wednesday.
Nathan Patterson remains a little way away from returning as he has only just resumed full training following a hamstring injury.

Safe journeys to all our travelling Blues as always.3 points are not beyond us tonight but I am concerned about the level of fatigue that is beginning to show itself now around the 70 minute mark, which is understandable with such a demand being made on our lads, what with lack of squad depth and injuries and also this rather congested period of fixtures, but they are playing with a lot more belief and determination that warrants the rewards. They will just have to weather the storm that the opposition will present, and pounce on our opportunities when presented with them. All easily said, granted, but as Danny always says,โ All games are winnableโ. The right set up,mentality and will to win has seen us move up the table,May it continue tonight.COYB

Tricky but winnable game; we did win there last season whilst not playing as good football as we are now. Brentford have a strong home record and have added some away wins too, so theyll be favourites. Were still a few players short of being able to play for the full 90 minutes, Lindstrom is due a goal so thats where my pound is going.
Win this and we are hot on Brentfords tails and can continue looking up - hopefully no referee controversy in this match!!

Greetings fellow Evertonians!
I am on a tacho break sat on a roll of carpet in a dungeon warehouse.
A perfect setting for perusing and musing all matters evertonia!
My conclusion, now this cuppa is done, is thus:
Moyes knows Frank.
Frank knows Moyes.
It will be a tactical battle.
We will win!
2-1. Beto and Lindstrom for us, Mbuemo for them.
Or have the fibres of carpet misfired my premonition?

On the train - its a marathon trek of an hour for me. I have to bloody change platforms as well! The things we do.
Looking forward to that pint of soft shite weak southern ale in about 35 minutes!

Evening guys and gals, looking forwards to the game (which certainly makes a change from the last season or two)! These dual pages between TW and Evertonia are confusing me as I don't want to ignore either...

Give them a shout or two for me Mark

Gerry - I still think Lyndon is missing a trick. He needs to have a direct link to the match forum from the main page of the site.
Having to go to the main menu, then forums, then select the right match is probably enough to confuse many.
Add a link and youd conquer the world, Lyndon! ;)

Anyone else know what's going on with TNT? Supposed to be Bre v Everton but unlike all the other games, it's just about Liverpool. IS the game actually on there?

Good equaliser that.
DCL finishing from Beto today ๐
We can't win em all.
Decent point on the road.
Onwards and upwards.
Up The Toffees.

Beto's been good, I'll give him a break. We should have won that, but happy with the point.
26/02/2025 at 22:08:26
I think the players are well ready for this break. The match could have gone either way, but a draw isn't the end of the world.
26/02/2025 at 22:09:58
A good result. Seven of those in a row now, with a few great ones thrown into the mix for good measure.
One more win and it's mission accomplished, if it isn't already.
27/02/2025 at 07:50:58
The third could go down as expert positioning from a top keeper but Beto's other misses, especially the first, were fecking disgraceful. And minutes before the first he fucked up in the box. Charly was a tit with his histrionics about Beto not passing to him for an erm tap in. Beto who I think might be a worrier, given the tears when he scored after so long, needs to put this game behind him and get ready for Molineux, no matter how he cost us this game, and he did.
Want to respond corrector-in-chief and proud gun owner Mr. Gaynes?

No complaints about Beto from me. He played a big part in making all three chances happen and got a shot off on target each time. These are fine margins; on another day, he has a hat trick.
27/02/2025 at 09:14:25
The rapid advance in style and will to get forward under Moyes is remarkable. Beto had a great game just needs to vary his type of finishes. LOVING Alcaraz, has to be careful about not losing the ball but a legend in the making so far. Can't wait to see how we get on with Ndiaye and McNeil down the wings.

If I may, without seeming to minimize how badly I got it wrong, Paul may be on to something that is key to the Moyes miracle. The lack of a midfield general or enforcer type with a matching skill set has cost Everton quite a few points over the last few seasons. Dyche's old school methods were likely a piece of an overall set of emotionally limited communications. One could observe that in many of his pressured press responses. The weight of the struggle to stay up probably overwhelmed any ability for Dyche to inspire. This ultimately led to strained instructions and less trust on the pitch.
Moyes has not only secured results but restored some football faith. While he is limited with more gifted squads, his Presbyterian professionalism likely strikes a chord with these players and their undefined futures. Moyes' travels will serve him well and his tendency to fall on his feet will offer a common bond. One man's ceiling is another man's floor.

Good night out on Wednesday and a good entertaining match.
Unless something else comes in I've secured a ticket for Wolves, but for the 3rd away game in a row, will be amongst the other side.

Good luck to those travelling tonight. They play a good game but we can win if we play to our strengths.
