Refreshed from 10 days off and a mini break in Abu Dhabi, Everton are back in Premier League action in the late Saturday kickoff at 8pm.
David Moyes will address the media at Finch farm today where he is expected to provide updates on some of Everton’s injured players and will no doubt face questions about reports that Kevin Thelwell will be leaving this summer, the Director of Football position at the club in general, and perhaps the contract situation of Abdoulaye Doucouré and Jack Harrison, who have been in the news this past week.

UTFT indeed! But I always fear these games, coming off a break. Teams often can be sluggish.
Moyes has done a superb job of getting the team prepared and they've responded with amazing effort. Let's hope we see that.

Just had a gander at the table. We're 15 points clear with only 11 games to play.
I didn't want Moyes. I'll be the first to raise my hand and say I was wrong. He's done a marvelous job thusfar.

Of course it is, John. Someone should tell Siri as she mangled my voice dictation while I was feeding the dogs! I should also fire my proof-reader. Oh, wait. That's me 🤦♂️

Jamie, the issue with Moyes return to the Club wasn't a concern as to whether he'd improve on the performance of the increasingly hapless Dyche, who had clearly lost his mojo. It was that the length of contract he would demand, understandably, would frustrate TFG's plans to bring in over the summer whoever they had in mind as Dyche's long term successor.
Maybe the returning Moyes has evolved from the man that left, we'll see. I'd like to think he realises that this is most likely his last top management job & that he has returned with a determination to get some silverware to show for it this time. However, leopards & spots, etc.

Id give Moyes a 5 year contract right now.
If that merely means 5 years of stability and mid-table finishes then at least it gives us all a chance to come off the blood pressure meds and actually look forward to weekends again.
This is the first season for years that I havent felt a sense of relief when theres an international/FA Cup break.

Dennis I think Moyes has enough money to relax and start enjoying life without the pressures of football, mind you he hes never looked like a man who knows how to relax and be happy!

David, my only interest in Moyes is what he delivers for Everton.

Have a kid's game today. 3 pm kickoff over here in the States, WTF?? Will have to watch on the phone.
Dennis -
Moyes has done a fantastic job. My reservation was he'd shit the bed coming back. Second go-arounds usually don't work out. He's proven me wrong.
And all that doesn't matter. I only care, for the foreseeable future, about safety. the last three years have been torture.
UTFT. Three points on the road.
