Mark Carney, the former head of the Bank of England and a renowned Evertonian, became the leader of Canadas Liberal Party and the countrys new Prime Minister on Sunday.
He replaces Justin Trudeau and I expect the maple leaf on their flag to be changed to royal blue before the weekend 😉

A blue Maple Leaf….if only!

Never mind the maple leaf, Ray. A ministerial word in the ears of Jonathan David and Alphonso Davies about the extraordinary pleasures of Everton would be the most excellent way of leveraging his new position.
And it would be well for our new owners to put in a call to Ottawa posthaste about an Everton marketing campaign in Canada.

Mike, hopefully our new owners will be a lot more savvy from a marketing perspective. It always saddened me to hear from our fans/friends across the pond saying that they couldnt get an Everton shirt or merchandise anywhere. It has to change, we, as a club, has spurned so many opportunities to enhance our reputation.

Ray, I've been venting that particular frustration for 30 years now. I sometimes wonder if I'll ever walk into a store and see an Everton shirt hanging there for purchase.

Carney also served as the governor of the Bank of England from 2013 to 2020. I am tempted to play a round of beer hunter to honor our friend up north but I only have two 19s in the fridge. And I know how the English hate to see good beer go to waste. Beer hunter was a famous SCTV skit in case you didn't know, eh.

Mike, and when you think of the American players weve had, McBride, Landon Donovan, Joe Max Moore and of course, Tim Howard, who all sang the clubs praises during and after their time here, its incompetence at the least that more wasnt made of the commercial opportunities that were available. Criminal !

Can Everton shirts be purchased online in USA? Most purchases these days are online anyway right.
I love my T-Shirt the bird is blue ordered online from America, as sorted by Lyndon and marketed on TW.

I've seen many of our shirts on sale over here: Chicago, NYC, Boston, LA, Austin, Ann Arbor, and Toronto, of course, and others I'm sure that I have forgotten.

It would be great if he signals it by announcing how he is suddenly quite excited at the prospect of visiting the neighbours in the near future!
Trump would no doubt think it was all about him so it would be job done for placating the man-baby as well.
