EVERTON VS ARSENAL THREAD

Will we avoid a Derby hangover and tear into the gunners to get crowd onside and overpower a team with one eye on the Real Madrid match up in Tuesday?

Will McNeil and N'Diaye get significant game time and give us better end product?

Will Beto bang in a brace?

Gabriel is out for them, Saka is back.

Good work Peter!

1) Maybe.
2) I certainly #@!*#! hope so but wouldn't bet on it.
3) Probably not.

I have to get up at 4am to get ready for kickoff. Let's hope for some aggressive football from the Blues.

Difficult game today. Over the last few matches our threat up front seems to have declined from when Moyes first came in, probably linked to the loss of the creativity of N’Diaye. I’m not sure he’s fully fit so may not be in a position to start so would look to try Alcaraz in the No 10 role. Would also like to see Iregbounam get a start to physically challenge the Arsenal midfield

It will be a similar game plan to Wednesday I guess.

Organised defensive set up with intent to break quickly.

If we can use the ball better, plus obviously take our chances, an overdue win (in terms of the last 5 games) could be on the cards at the Grand Old Lady.

I hope that Tim, Ili and Dwight all play at least a decent chunk of the game today.

Despite the early kick off, I suspect the spirit of the great Olde Field of Yesteryear Glory will reawaken for a memorable match today. Here's hoping.

Good luck Everton and all those fortunate to be attending today, one of the last hurrahs in the glorious Goodison sunshine.

Blue skies ahead and above 💙

Interesting line up! Patterson at Left Back?

N'Diaye and Tim from the start. Charley benched with Douc keeping his place.

(Saka only on bench, let's hope we are 3 nil up before he comes on!)

Playing Patterson, Iroegbunamand and N'Diaye could be a sign of attacking intent. Arsenal's right side doesn't look that solid, although White is a class fullback. They will probably shift right to contain and leave Harrison for the impotent outlet. With Jesper out maybe Alcaraz comes in late for Harrison. Looking for Alcaraz and N'Diaye on the pitch together.

Harrison and Doucoure do not deserve a place in the first team

Will take a point.

A step forward I feel, especially with N'Diaye returning and playing well too.

Cool as cucumber for the pen. Well done Iliman!

Up the Toffees.

Just back from the match. Fair result in my opinion. Gana Gueye was immense, Ndiaye is class, Beto is a, coughs, handful. Thought we looked better when Garner came on. Tim Iroebunam had a bit of a stinker. Onwards and Upwards.

That’s the second game against the Darlings, whereby, we could have walked away with a haul of 6 points.
Pity about Gana’s fatal header, that sent them on their way.
However, I still think our defenders could have closed Trossard down.
With the ( hopefully), new overhaul in personnel, I do hope we dispense, with this Boring lone Target man tactics.
We surrender possession in huge percentages and although the Lions Share of possession doesn’t necissarily mean you are going to to win, we, ( in my opinion), are too reliant on the counter and we just don’t have the players swift enough.
We need to bring in more Tecnically gifted players, who could play across the front line.

Paul#

Can find nothing to disagree with.Need more pace at the back and a more tactical attack, supported by a playmaking midfield.

I find it hard not to be demanding of Moyes, because of the wages he is on and the new potential that the Club has. Also I don't want to see Moyes getting comfortable mid table. Everton need to move on from that.
