Merlin Röhl

A Germany Under-21s international who impressed during the 2025 European Championships for that age level, Röhl is a rangy, box-to-box midfielder who was signed to fill an urgent need for depth in that area of Everton's squad.

A reported target for the Blues the previous January, the club made a move for him on the penultimate day of the summer transfer window, hammering out an initial loan deal with an obligation to make the transfer permanent next summer for a reported €25m.
