Love to hear your chirpy optimism Danny. I wish I had 10% of your positivity. I'd say we spend whatever is necessary to get hold of a half-decent finisher, who can hold the ball up, bully defenders and read the game well. Beto and Barry have been embarrassing to watch, simply not good enough. So, a half-decent striker, Delap might do, and a major investment too in a couple of great centre halves. Brainthwaite is top class clearly, but injury-prone and/or likely to be poached. The great ex-Burnley duo are unreliable and cost us too many games. I'd make Rohl a regular starter - in my opinion a potential future star.

Danny, always nice to see your comments.
This summer, I expect we'll probably focus on getting the squad in good competitive shape by shopping in the typical Moyes zone of 22 to 25 year olds with decent numbers of games under their belt at a good level. Top end fees will probably be around £35m. Maybe also pick up some bigger rated talents on the verge of a breakout.
I'll obviously be wrong to varying degrees here (possibly 100% wrong) - but a likely / optimistic outcome from the window might look something like this:
First XI
Pickford
Lewis (City)
Diouf (West Ham)
Branthwaite
O'Brien
Hackney (Boro)
Garner
Dewsbury-Hall
Fatawu (Leicester)
Grealish (City - Loan)
Delap (Chelsea - Loan)
Second XI
Travers
Kpakio (Cardiff)
Mykolenko
Harwood-Bellis (Saints)
Keane / Tarkowski
Armstrong
Iroegbunam
Rohl
Dibling
George (Chelsea)
Barry
Obviously this is not a stellar set of players - and it assumes Ndiaye leaves which is a shame. Should we be hunting for less familiar names in lower cost markets - yes, and I confidently expect we will do that too. The suggested names here are just the likelier ones given which players are being made available by selling clubs (and being courted by most clubs in the middle to bottom half of the Premier League).
But it's also probably our best squad overall since probably Silva's first season - and gives us a genuine chance of Europe (because the flanks look much better and because we have the depth to cover injury to Grealish and Branthwaite).
I don't see anything in the youth set up worth a first team place as yet - as this season will come too soon for Olayiwola and Nsangou. But hopefully Graham will find a League One side or maybe even Championship to see whether he's got genuine first team potential.
