Tyrer filled with gratitude as he completes Cardiff move

Everton Academy product, Harry Tyrer, has officially completed a permanent move to Cardiff City, ending a 17-year association with the Toffees.
The 24-year-old goalkeeper had to wait for an EFL transfer embargo to be lifted before his move could be completed but has now joined the Bluebirds for an undisclosed fee.
In a fulsome post to social media, Tyrer expressed his thanks to everyone at Everton who had helped him on his journey, one which will see him ply his trade away his boyhood club:
I walked into the Finch Farm building as a young boy I'm now leaving as a man. 17-and-a-half years at a club l've supported all my life. Making lifelong friends in the process and sharing the amazing memories with them all.
I've lived every Evertonians dream of walking out at Goodison listening to Z-Cars and playing in that iconic stadium. I want to thank everyone from the academy who has helped me get to where I am today.
I've experienced many great trips and experiences all over the world and I'm very thankful to have had those opportunities. I want to thank my family for making my dream come to fruition, making sure I was there everyday on time ready to train and give my all, the goalkeeping coaches and managers l've had training me all those years and learning from yourselves. l am grateful for everything you have done for me.
I also want to thank the behind the scenes staff at the club from the kitmen, S&C coaches, player care, chefs, stewards, canteen staff, teachers, yoga instructors, physios thank you!
Finally, the fans. Thank you for the support over the years whether that be standing in the torrential rain at the training ground waiting for autographs, messages sent online or supporting in the stadiums, thank you!!!
Once a Toffee always a Toffee #UTFT
Crosby-born Tyrer signed his first pro forms at Everton six years ago and joined Chester on loan for the 2022/23 season where he played almost a full season.
He followed that with a successful spell at Chesterfield, helping the Spireites gain promotion from the National League to League Two, and then spent last season at Blackpool, playing 38 times for the Tangerines.

Well said Howard, young Harry has seemed to me to have been an exemplary professional and I have been following his career in the hope he would become number 2 to Jordan. I really don't understand why that did not happen as we signed two goalkeepers last summer, when Harry was clearly available.
Still he now has his chance, I sincerely hope he does well, playing for a good Club in a very nice to live in City. Good luck Harry, I for one will continue to monitor your progress.

Typical Crosby blue. We're raised well. Lovely statement/sentiments Harry and all the best for your future that I with many others will be watching.

I very pleasing article for several reasons; thank you.
His leaving statement spoke volumes about his attitude and character.
He might never have the ability to be quite make it here but clearly a very talented keeper who deserves to make a good living from football. His parents must be so proud as should the club he has represented so well.
Cardiff are doing very well; could be he comes back to BM & if so I have no doubt he will get a great reception; we don't forget our own.
