Manchester United's Academy Director, Nick Cox, is set to leave the Red Devils later this year to become Everton's new Technical Director.

Described by Training Ground Guru as "one of the most prominent and respected figures in youth development in England," Cox appears to have been head-hunted by the Blues as new CEO Angus Kinnear builds out an entirely new recruitment setup at Finch Farm.

Nick Hammond was recently brought on as head of trading to handle negotiations and oversee player sales and acquisitions while Kinnear and manager David Moyes will be heavily involved in recruitment themselves, supplemented by James Smith, shortly to arrive from Manchester City, while Chris Howarth has joines as head of strategy.

Cox is credited with bringing dozens of players through United's youth system to the first team at Old Trafford.
