Everton confirm new Pickford deal
Jordan Pickford has committed a further two years of his future to Everton by signing a new contract that will run until the summer of 2029.
The club confirmed recent speculation suggesting the England star was ready to sign new terms with the announcement this afternoon. The news comes on the heels of his 300th appearance for the Blues and a record ninth consecutive clean sheet for his country.
"I'm delighted," the Washington-born goalkeeper told evertontv. "[I'm] delighted to get it done – it's an extra two years, so four years in total. I'm over the moon and it gives me the opportunity to build a legacy for myself here, move forward and build this Club to where we want to be.
"Everton is a really special club to me. Coming from Sunderland as a young lad and growing into a man here, it's been a special time for me and my family.
"I think everyone's seen the changes and how I've developed over time, but I'm still that lad who loves to keep the ball out of the net. It's been Everton who have helped me develop and a lot of hard work's been put in as well.
"It's always felt like a natural fit for me, with the fans and the passion – it's second to none and something I thrive off.
"It's been a mega journey so far."

So let me get this straight
Nobody sees the relevance of dragging three slowing outfield players who will have a combined age of around 100 into a thread about signing a goalkeeper who is 31 and in his prime ?
The crowd aint going to stone anybody. Absolutely nobody wants to see any of our young players sacked (what an absurd notion), or the older ones for that matter...and we all still want to see matches actually played on the pitch ? Fancy that !

This is an absolute disgrace! Pickford is the wrong side of thirty, and he once made a mistake that led to a goal! What are the club thinking? Pickford, Tarky, Gana and Seamus should be forced to resign for the crime of being old and scrounging a living off our great club in a special ceremony in the centre circle of Hill Dickinson, whilst ‘Yer Old’ by Reef is blasted out of the PA system and the crowd stone them with slightly stale blue doughnuts!
Also sack all the young players who have not immediately hit the ground running and haven’t repaid their transfer fees yet! In fact, sack all the players and simulate all our remaining fixtures using Football Manager projected on the big screens!
Sorry, just wanted to get in first with the frothing nonsense…
