Patterson has op to correct hernia issue
Nathan Patterson has joined Jarrad Branthwaite on the road to recovery after undergoing surgery on a hernia injury.
The Scot used the opportunity affored by a plantar fascia tear in his foot to have the operation and faces an as-yet undetermined spell on the sidelines.
Branthwaite, meanwhile, went under the knife earlier this week to repair the long-standing hamstring problem that resurfaced in training last week.
Patterson has only been on the fringes of David Moyes's squad so far this season but will be looking to regain his fitness in time for the January transfer window when the prospect of a loan move could again be on the cards.
