Iliman Ndiaye won't now take part in either of Senegal's two friendlies during the current international break because of a foot injury.

According to reports, the star winger reported feeling pain in his foot in the wake of Everton's win over Chelsea last weekend, a match in which he scored an excellent goal to make it 3-0.

Ndiaye will return to Merseyside to undergo treatment on the complaint in the hope that he will be ready to face Brentford for the Blues on 11 April.

International breaks rarely bring good news, do they? Injuries to key players would disrupt our pursuit of European football. It almost goes without saying that Ndiaye is one of our key players. Here’s hoping a three week break from games enables a full recovery.
